  • It supports translating your message into Morse Code message. (by flash light in iphone4, by blinking the background color, by release some dit-dah noise, just for fun).
  • It supports American Morse Code which is not as popular as International Morse Code today.
  • It supports changing the speed when sending Morse Code message, which caculated by WPM(words per minute). It also supports changing the blinking background color and dit-dah noise.
  • Besides, you could send the Morse message by just push the button like an amateur radio operator(simultaion for fun).
The app store link is http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/happymorse/id433404752?mt=8&ls=1.
The Play module is free, CW ,SET, KOCH module  are in app purchase products.

Currently Happy Morse only supports International Morse Code in the CW(continuous wave) module. This module support auto dectect WPM and fixed WPM, if you want to test yourself with the PARIS test, you must choose fixed WPM mode.

User Menu
1. This is the start interface.

2. If you are using iphone4, you will see the left view when push "play" button, else you will see the right view.

Shine is the flash light effect, Light is the shinking background color effect, Sound is the noise effect. You could stop the sending of Morse Code message by push "Stop" button or just touch the screen of your iphone or ipad.

3. If you push the "!" info button in the middle of the start view, you will find some description about Morse Code.

4. Below is the "set" interface. You could configure CW and KOCH module here etc.
5. Below is the CW module. It has "Auto WPM" mode, which means it will auto caculate the intra-character interval. That is when you first push the "Push me" it will start to count, when the next time you push the "Push me" button, it could finish the caculating, and decide which speed you are using, it will be shown on the information panel.

If you choose to disable "Auto WPM", things will be easy. A fixed WPM will be used, and shown on the screen. like the following image.

You could also do a WPM test, to test how many PARIS you could type in a fixed WPM speed. After you finished, Happy Morse will show the result score based on your WPM and how many PARIS you type and how much time you spend. like the following image show.

6. Traditionally, Morse code has been taught by struggling through all the codes at a slow speed and then (slowly) progressing towards higher speeds. Koch's method, on the other hand, dictates that you should start learning at the desired speed - but you start with only two characters. Each session is five minutes long, and whenever you get 90% or more correct, you add another character.   Just Learn Morse Code utilizes Koch's method for teaching Morse code. Koch's method was invented by German psychologist Ludwig Koch in the 1930s.
